Wendy Lesch ranks as one of the all-time best volleyball players to suit up for the Lakers. Lesch played in 149 matches and 539 sets during her storied career. She was a two-time First-Team All-GLIAC performer (1990-91) and a two-time All-Midwest honoree (1988-90) during her career. Lesch still ranks as the all-time leader in career solo (173) and total blocks (515), while also holding down the top spot in career service aces (288). Wendy recorded a single-season record 129 aces during her sophomore season. In addition, Lesch ranks among the all-time leaders in kills (1,452) and attacks (3,480). She twice led the team for the entire season in eight different statistical categories, while leading the way in an additional three categories for three consecutive years. Wendy was a model of consistency, recording between 83 and 88 block assists all four of her years for the Lakers. Lesch notched a career-best .345 attack percentage during her senior year en route to a .287 attack percentage for her career.Â
