Scott Allen concluded his career as one of the most prolific single-season and career offensive performers in Laker baseball history. Allen was a four-year fixture for the Lakers at third base, starting 212 of 214 career games played. Scott was a four-year All-GLIAC honoree, including being named Freshman of the Year in 2002, second-team All-GLIAC as a sophomore and junior, followed by a First-Team All-GLIAC honor as a senior in 2005. Grand Valley State was 152-64-1 during Allen's career with four NCAA tournament appearances, three NCAA Midwest Regional crowns and three trips to the NCAA DII World Series. Allen ranks in the top 10 of eight career categories and six single-season lists. Scott ranks second all-time in Laker annals in runs (168), RBIs (163) and doubles (46), while ranking fourth in hits (237) and at bats (676). In addition, his 2004 season ranks as one of the best all-time for an individual as he posted six marks that rank in the top 10 all-time for a single-season. His 49 career stolen bases is third-best at GVSU.
