His 20 wins stood as the top career mark when he finished his playing career and currently ranks second in Laker annals. Todd held the GVSU career-record for strikeouts (184) for over 10 years and still currently ranks second. Schmitt ranks third in complete games (17) and shutouts (2), fifth in innings pitched (210.1), and eighth in all-time appearances (48). Todd yielded 58 earned runs, 175 hits and had a career ERA of 2.48. His 1.49 ERA in 1991 holds the top spot for single-season ERA with 50 or more innings pitched and his 1.81 ERA in 1992 ranks sixth.
