    Margo Jonker is considered one of the pioneer softball pitchers at GVSU posting a 25-6 record from 1973-76. She closed out her career tossing a no-hitter against Lake Superior and posted a record .50 ERA her senior season. A keen student of the game, Jonker went on to coach softball at Central Michigan University and was named NCAA Division I Coach of the Year in 1987. A Zeeland native, Jonker graduated from West Ottowa High School.
