Krista O'Dell was a key figure in building the Grand Valley State cross country and track & field national championship tradition. O'Dell turned in an incredible career, earning 10 NCAA DII All-America honors and 10 All-GLIAC honors spanning through the indoor track, outdoor track and cross country campaigns. O'Dell scored 20.5 points in NCAA indoor and outdoor championship events, while adding 112 points during her GLIAC Championship events. She was a four-time All-American in the indoor mile, while also earning honors in the 5,000m run and distance medley relay. O'Dell claimed two more All-America honors in the outdoor 1,500m run, finished eighth in the 3,000 and added an All- America honor in cross country. Krista claimed six GLIAC individual titles in the mile, 800 and DMR, while earning four additional GLIAC honors in the 3,000, 800 and twice in cross country.
