    Tom Tefft was a standout offensive guard for Grand Valley State in 1972 and 1973. The 6-0, 225-pounder was named First Team All-GLIAC and became GVSU's first All-American in football in 1973. Tefft was selected as an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American in 1973 and was honored by the GVSU coaching staff as the Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman the same year.
    Tefft signed with Detroit Wheels of the World Football League after graduation in 1974 and later served as an assistant football coach at GVSU from 1974 to 1975.
