Mike Davis etched his name in the record books during his career at Grand Valley State and thus earned the right to be mentioned among the best all around players in GVSU men’s basketball history. Davis was a two-time First-Team All-GLIAC honoree, while also being named to the GLIAC All-Defensive Team as a junior and senior. GVSU’s all-time leader in career assists (641), Davis is the only player in GVSU annals to accumulate more than 1,000 points (1,097), 300 rebounds (319), 500 assists (641) and 200 steals (217). Davis also holds the top two single-season totals for assists with 234 as a junior and 242 in his final campaign. Davis averaged 14.4 points and 8.3 assists as a junior, while his senior year numbers increased to 16.2 points and 8.6 assists.
