?Katie Martin concluded her career as the most prolific softball player in Grand Valley State history both in terms of statistics and honors earned. Martin was the GLIAC Freshman of the Year in 2010, the GLIAC Player of the Year in 2013, and a three-time First-Team All-GLIAC honoree. Martin was the Daktronics National Player of the Year in 2011 and 2013, the only individual the feat, while also being a consensus First-Team All-American in 2011 and 2013. She tallied a .438 career batting average in 217 games with 300 hits, 188 runs scored, 59 home runs, 72 doubles, three triples and 240 RBI. Martin also saw action in the circle, posting a record of 24-11 in 27 career starts. Martin ranks in the top 10 of 21 career categories, including number one in 11 ledgers. In addition, she ranks in the top five of 24 single-season categories. GVSU was 154-64 during her career with a GLIAC title, three NCAA Tournament berths and a trip to the World Series her senior year in 2013.
