Dorr Granger was a four-year standout for the Lakers on the mat, earning four all-america awards and four Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles en route to a 99-38 career record. Granger captured the 126-pound GLIAC title as a freshman in 1979, followed by the 134-pound GLIAC crown as a sophomore. In addition, Granger advanced to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Championships during his sophomore season where he placed sixth. Dorr claimed his third GLIAC title during his junior campaign, this one coming in the 142-pound weight class. Granger finished eighth at the NAIA National Championships and third at the NCAA DII National Championships at 142 pounds. Dorr concluded his career with his fourth consecutive GLIAC Championship (142 pounds) as a senior in 1982 and a fifth-place finish at the NCAA DII National Championships. Granger notched 28 pins during his career with the Lakers, including a school-record six straight pins during his junior year.Â
