Drew Vinton concluded a stellar three-year career as one of the all-time great pitchers in Laker baseball history. His 21 career wins still ranks first in Laker baseball annals and he ranks in the top three of six different pitching categories for a career and single season. Drew notched a 21-9 record in 40 career starts. He concluded his career second in strikeouts with 180, second in career complete games with 21 and third in career shutouts (3) and innings pitched (212.1). His eight wins (8-3) in 1997 still ranks as the fourth-highest single-season win total, while his 67 strikeouts that same season ranks seventh. Vinton notched a 3.81 career earned run average in 212.1 innings pitched. Â Vinton was a three-time All-GLIAC honoree, including second-team honors as a junior and first-team plaudits as a senior. In addition, Drew was two-time Academic All-GLIAC selection.
