Jenna Wenglinski was a key defender for the Grand Valley State women’s soccer team during an era in which the Lakers dominated the country. Wenglinski was the 2010 United Soccer Coaches Association National Player of the Year for the National Champion Lakers, while also earning First-Team All-American plaudits from the USCA and D2CCA. Wenglinski was a two-time all-region honoree, twice named the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Defensive Player and a three-time All-GLIAC performer. The Lakers were 86-3-7 overall and 47-1-3 in GLIAC action during her career, with two National Championships (2009-2010), three final fours, three NCAA regional crowns and four GLIAC regular season and tournament titles. GVSU yielded just 32 goals during her 96-game career and tallied a 0.33 goal against average. Wenglinski scored one goal and assisted on five goals from her defensive position.
