He was a Major League pitcher for the A's, New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, Toronto Blue Jays, and Detroit Tigers. While with Oakland, he pitched in the 1988 World Series.
The hard-throwing left-hander posted a 9-5 record in 93 innings on the mound for the Lakers. He played on Grand Valley teams from 1981 through 1983, helping the Lakers earn a combined record of 73-47-2. GVSU won the Grand Rapids City Collegiate Championship in 1983.
Cadaret remains a great supporter of Grand Valley athletics. His contributions to the university include establishing the Greg Cadaret Endowment Funt to support GVSU baseball.
