Grand Valley State University Athletics

    Marie was a four-year standout for the Lakers, compiling a 38-20 record as a starting pitcher. GVSU was 93-34 during Hyde's four years. Marie was 12-1 as a freshman with a 0.77 ERA and as a junior was 8-6 with an ERA of 0.74. Hyde was a key contributor to the squad's SMAIAW State Championship in 1980. In addition to softball, Marie was also a standout on the field hockey team. Marie was named team captain and MVP.
