Hall of Fame
Jeff Chadwick is the first active professional athlete inducted in the GVSU Hall of Fame. He earned five letters in football and track from 1979-82. At Grand Valley, Chadwick caught 75 passes for 1,512 yards and 19 touchdowns which at the time stood as career records. Chadwick is still the outdoor track record holder at Grand Valley in the high jump (6-10) and the 400 meter dash (:49.4). Chadwick went on to play 10 years in the National Football League, six with the Detroit Lions, three with the Seattle Seahawks and in 1992 with the Los Angeles Rams. During his NFL career, Chadwick caught 292 passes from 4,546 yards, and average of 15.6 yards per catch and scored 27 TD's. Chadwick is a graduate of Dearborn Divine Child. Jeff and his wife, Karen live in Bellevue, WA. with son Jeffrey and daughter Jessica.
