Julie Zeeff was a model of consistency during her career for the Lakers on the hardwood. Playing in 98 career games, Zeeff was an all-around force at both ends of the court and was honored as such by being named to the All-GLIAC and All-GLIAC Defensive Teams during her final three years as a Laker. As a defender, Zeeff is the all-time leader in career blocked shots with 274, while also holding the top three single-season marks for blocked shots at 93, 85 and 82. Julie also pulled down 637 rebounds and led the team in that category in each of her final three seasons. Zeeff scored 1,252 points during her career and boasts the 10th-best total in field goals made with 503 to go along with 246 made free throws. Zeeff also dished out 86 assists and tallied 63 steals during her career. GVSU advanced to the NCAA tournament during her junior season with Zeeff averaging 16.2 points and 7.7 rebounds. Zeeff was a three-time Academic All-GLIAC honoree and was twice named to the Daktronics All-Great Lakes Regional Team. In addition to her single-season and career plaudits, Zeeff holds the Grand Valley State single-game record for blocked shots with 12.
