Carrie Baker was a standout performer for the Lakers from the time she arrived on campus. Baker was the GLIAC Freshman of the Year in 1991 and then garnered All-GLIAC and All-Great Lakes Regional honors from 1992-94. Carrie was a three-time GLIAC All-Academic performer, while landing Academic All-Region plaudits as a senior. Baker ranks first on the GVSU career list for digs with 1,556, while ranking second in attacks (4,510) and eighth in hitting percentage (.287). Baker’s 620 kills her sophomore year rank as the third-best single-season total in Laker annals, while her 1,323 attacks that same season is the second-highest total.
