    Jamie Hosford, a former Grand Rapids Creston star, became the first athlete in GVSC history to receive 12 varsity letters and win All-American honors in two sports. He lettered in football, wrestling, golf, baseball and track.
    He was named to NCAA II and NAIA teams in football, setting seven individual records, including the GVSC single season rushing mark of 1,313 yards and total career yards of 3,157. He was honored as Male Athlete of the Year at GVSC in 1976-77. Hosford was a four-time All-American wrestler winning the NAIA National Championship at 190 lbs. during the 1976-77 season. His career record at GVSC was 113-12.
