    Richard Vaughn was GVSU's first All-American in wrestling in 1972, when he finished fourth in the NAIA National Tournament at 118 pounds. Rick wrestled from 1971-1974 and was All-Great Lakes Conference Champion and two-time all NAIA District 23 Champion. He was also selected to the Coaches' Small College All-America Wresting Team in 1973. Rick served as an assistant wresting coach at GVSU from 1974-1976. He currently is an independent manufacturers representative in the motorcycle and bicycle industries.
