Grand Valley State University Athletics

Tyler Emmorey was a four-year standout for Grand Valley State in cross country and track. He was a four-time GLIAC Champion on the track and captured the 2010 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Cross Country individual title. An eight-time All-American, Emmorey finished in the top eight at the NCAA DII Championships three times in the 3000m steeplechase, the 5000m run (outdoor), and the 2011 cross country championships. In addition, he was the 2010 USTFCCCA Midwest Region Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year. His time of 8:55.42 in the steeplechase still ranks third all-time. GVSU captured 11 GLIAC team titles and finished among the top-five at the NCAA DII Cross Country Championships three times.
