Kent Wiersma (1985-89) was a four-year letterwinner for the Lakers on the hardwood under Hall of Fame head coach Tom Villamure. Kent ranks third in career three-pointers made with 185, despite not having the three-point shot enter into the college game until his sophomore year. Wiersma ranks 14th in Laker annals in career-points with 1,304 and seventh in free throws made with 295. Kent’s .466 career three-point percentage ranks first among Lakers that made 100 or more three’s in their career. Wiersma connected on eight three-pointers in a game three times during his career. As a senior, Kent averaged a career-high 17.3 points per game, while also recording career-highs in rebounds (100), assists (105) and steals (44).
