Todd Tracey was one of the most disruptive forces on the defensive like in Laker football history. A four-year letterman for the Lakers on the gridiron, Tracey recorded 139 total tackles (76 solo/63 assisted) from his defensive lineman position. He also finished his career ranked among the top 10 in career quarterback sacks with 14. Todd tallied 44 tackles and two QB sacks as a junior followed by a stellar senior season. Tracey recorded 44 solo tackles and 17 assisted for a total of 64, tops among defensive lineman. In addition, Tracey led the team in QB sacks with 11 and tackles for loss with 19. Tracey was a First-Team All-GLIAC honoree and the GLIAC Defensive Lineman of the Year in 1989. In addition, Tracey was named First-Team All-American by Kodak and the NCAA DII. Todd was a key figure in the Lakers' first undefeated regular season (11-0) and first NCAA DII playoff appearance in 1989. GVSU was 34-11 during his playing career with one GLIAC Championship.
