Jennifer Mackson is the most decorated softball player in the history of the Grand Valley State program. Mackson led GVSU to four NCAA Tournaments, three GLIAC Championships, the 2002 DII Softball World Series and the 2002 NCAA DII National Championship game. Mackson was 103-16 during her career with 16 saves and averaged over 25 wins per season. Jen is the career record holder at GVSU in wins (1033), ERA (0.67), complete games (102), shutouts (67), innings pitched (861.0), strikeouts (1,015) and opponent batting average (.155). Mackson was 30-6 as a sophomore with a 0.62 ERA and 317 strikeouts. Mackson guided GVSU to the 2002 NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship and the National Championship game. Jen was 28-3 as a junior with a 0.60 ERA, followed by a 25-4 mark as a senior. Mackson led GVSU to the NCAA Great Lakes Regional title game in each of her final two campaigns. She was a four-time All-GLIAC honoree and was selected as the GLIAC Player of the Year three times. In addition, Mackson was a three-time NFCA Great Lakes Region honoree, a 2002 NFCA First-Team All-American, a 2003 NFCA Second-Team All-American and a 2003 Academic All-American.
