Danielle Alexander closed her career as one of the most decorated players in terms of team accomplishments, statistics and honors. The Lakers won three GLIAC Championships, three GLIAC Tournament crowns, three NCAA Midwest Regional titles, advanced to the Elite Eight three times, Final Four twice and the National Championship game once during her career. Alexander was a part of the programs only National Championship in 2005 as the Lakers claimed the win over No. 1 seeded Nebraska-Kearney. Statistically, Alexander ranks in the top 10 of 19 career and season categories. She recorded 1,160 kills, turned in a career attack percentage of .305 and recorded 445 total blocks. Alexander earned virtually every honor possible during her career in the GLIAC, regionally and nationally. She earned AVCA First- Team All-America honors as a senior in 2008, while being a third-team honoree in 2007. In addition, she was a Daktronics, Inc. First-Team All-American in 2008. Alexander also earned all-region, All-GLIAC and Academic All-GLIAC plaudits during her career.
