Kim Biskup concluded her career as the most prolific power hitter in Grand Valley state softball history. Biskup, a 2000 National Fastpitch Coaches Association First-Team All-American and the GLIAC Player of the Year, established single-season and career records in virtually every offensive category. Her final two collegiate campaigns are nearly unmatched in terms of offensive production. Kim led the nation in home runs as a junior (21) and senior (21), while also establishing an NCAA Division II record for home runs in consecutive seasons (42). As a junior, Biskup hit a team-best .442 with 80 hits, 21 home runs and 78 RBI's, while hitting .396 with 66 RBI's and 61 hits as a senior. Kim finished her career as the all-time Division II leader in walks (110), while ranking third in RBI's (238), fifth in home runs (46) and 16th in games played (238). During her career with the Lakers, Kim tallied up 248 hits, scored 120 runs, drove in 238 runs, and drilled 46 home runs. Biskup, who was a two-time First-Team All-GLIAC honoree and earned a second-team All-NFCA All-America plaudits as a junior, guided GVSU to a four-year record of 189-55-1 and three NCAA Great Lakes Regional appearances.
