Jeff Terpstra was a three-year standout (1988-90) for the Laker baseball team, playing in every game (140) during his tenure.  Jeff ranks in the top 10 of five different Laker offensive categories.  A .356 career hitter, Terpstra averaged nearly an RBI per game played at GVSU. His 130 RBI’s rank as the second-highest total in GVSU annals. Jeff ranks sixth in career home runs (18), seventh in hits (144) and sixth in base hits (144). As a junior, Terpstra hit .348 with 49 hits, 56 RBI, nine home runs, seven doubles and 35 runs scored. Jeff hit. .397 his senior year, nearly reaching the magical baseball mark of .400. He tallied a team and career-high 50 hits, while driving in 44 runs and hitting eight home runs.
