Karleigh Rothe Named GLIAC Defensive Player Of The Week

ALLENDALE, MICH. - For the first time in her career, Grand Valley State senior defender Karleigh Rothe has been named GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Over two games, Rothe tallied seven groundballs and caused two turnovers on the Laker backline. Rothe totaled four groundballs and caused one turnover in Friday's game at UIndy. She followed that up with three more groundballs and another caused turnover at Maryville on Sunday. This season, Rothe has picked up 10 groundballs and caused three turnovers.
