MELBOURNE, FLA. – The Grand Valley State women's lacrosse team fell to 0-5 to begin the 2026 season after a 12-6 loss at Florida Tech.
After
Ainsley Shilling tied the game at one early in the first quarter, the Panthers scored the final five goals of the half to lead 6-1. GVSU cut the lead down to three with just under five minutes left in the game off
Veronica Ziemer's third goal of the game, to make it 9-6. Florida Tech would tally the final three goals of the game to put it away.

Ella Boose had the lone Laker assist, while leading the way with four draw controls.
Tatumn Nyen caused two turnovers and picked up a groundball on the backline.
Sarah Krause had four saves and four groundballs.
