The Lakers will be looking to pick up their first win of the season, after falling to Seton Hill and Slippery Rock last weekend. GVSU scored 15 goals over the two games, led by
Ella Boose and
Eliana LaMange each with three.
Gracie Bancroft and
Delaney Smith both have a team-high five points. Defensively,
Sarah Krause has played all 120 minutes so far, totaling 19 saves and posting a .463 save percentage. In front of her,
Quinn McElroy has caused a team-high six turnovers, while picking up five groundballs. In the draw control circle, Smith leads the way with six, followed by Boose with five.
Indianapolis has started the season 3-1, defeating reigning national champion and then number one ranked Tampa to begin the season, while also defeating Walsh and Ashland. Their lone loss is to the second-ranked team in the country, Florida Southern. The Greyhounds have outscored their opposition 57-24 this season, scoring on 43.5% of their shots. Two players have scored at least 12 goals this season, with another also having over 10 points. In the cage, UIndy has posted a .476 save percentage, tallying 22 saves.
With their 4-0 start, Maryville is up to number four in the country. Two of their victories are over ranked opponents, taking down #25 Alabama-Huntsville and #14 Regis. The Saints have been dominant in their four victories, scoring 70 goals, while allowing just 28. A big reason for the offensive output has been their ability in the draw control circle, taking 69 this season, compared to just 33 for their opponents. Paige Murphy leads MU with 21 goals this season, with two others have over 10 as well. Goalkeeper Gianna Guzek has played all but 15 minutes this season, totaling 26 saves and a .481 save percentage.
