ST. LOUIS, MO. – The Grand Valley State women's lacrosse team fell in a tough ranked matchup at number four Maryville. The Lakers dropped to 0-4 with a 15-6 setback.
 
The Saints started out with a 5-1 first quarter, extending their lead up to 8-3 at halftime. GVSU could never climb any closer than six the rest of the way, falling by nine.
 
Gracie Bancroft led the way with a hat trick for GVSU. Ella Boose, Indira Marker, and Eliana LaMange also scored. Boose had two assists and Ainsley Shilling posted one. Sarah Krause made 14 saves in net, while Quinn McElroy picked up four groundballs.
