INDIANPOLIS, IND. – The Grand Valley State women's lacrosse team was down in Indianpolis for their third game of the season, taking on UIndy. After a close first half, the third-ranked Greyhounds used a big third quarter to gain some breathing room, holding on for a 16-12 victory. The Lakers fall to 0-3 to begin the season.

UIndy jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the first quarter, eventually extending it out to 6-1 early in the second quarter. Grand Valley State would respond with a 6-2 run to end the second quarter, making the score 8-7 at the half.

The Greyhounds began the third quarter with four straight goals, pushing their lead up to five.
