GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Valley State volleyball team is riding a three-game winning streak as the calendar turns over to November. The Lakers, who own a record of 11-11 overall and 6-5 in GLIAC play, will look to build on their streak as they travel crosstown Saturday (Nov. 2) to take on Davenport, a team in which the Lakers defeated 3-2 in a tight match back on September 24 in Allendale. The match tomorrow is set for 5:00 P.M inside the Davenport University Student Center.

th win last Friday at Lake Superior State in a clean sweep. After traveling to University City, Michigan on Saturday to take on Saginaw Valley, the Lakers upset the Cardinals (3-2), who coming into the match, were 16-5 overall and 8-2 in GLIAC play. The Lakers are tied for fifth place in the GLIAC standings with five games remaining for each team. Michigan Tech (10-1), Ashland (9-2), Ferris State (9-2), and Saginaw Valley (8-3) hold down the top-four spots by at least two games, while GVSU and Northern Michigan are both 6-5. Davenport is one game behind GVSU and NMU at 5-6.
As a team, GVSU ranks first in the GLIAC in blocks per set at 2.22 and total blocks (189), second in service aces (1.59), and third in digs (1381). Individually, Primus leads the conference in blocks per set (1.12) and is 10

The Panthers have won eight out of their last 10 matches and led 2-0 against SVSU on Friday before dropping the next three sets. Davenport began the conference season 0-4, which included a 3-2 loss to GVSU, but a four-match win streak got them right back into the thick of things in the GLIAC standings.
Hayley Kreiger leads the Panthers with 256 kills (9
th in GLIAC) and a .246 attack percentage, while Kendra DeJonge and Kenzy Corstange rank first and third in the GLIAC respectively in service aces per set at 0.40 and 0.37.
Davenport lead the all-time series between the two schools, 4-2.
