ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The #16 Grand Valley State (1-4) women's lacrosse team is set to host the #2 Lindenwood Lions (8-0) on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 PM. The Lakers enter the match having played three top-five opponents on the season, with Lindenwood being the fourth. The Lakers played against then #1 Florida Southern, #2 Adelphi, and #3 Le Moyne and fell in each match.Â

Meghan Datema, as the junior midfielder has nine goals on the year.
Abbi O'Neal has had a promising start to her freshman season, as the midfielder is the second-leading goal scorer for the Lakers with seven goals thus far. Senior
Kira Dosenberry is leading the Lakers in ground ball recoveries this year with 13 and the San Diego native is currently second all-time in the category for GVSU. Senior midfielder
Ryan Skomial is just five points behind the career leader in points scored as the Howell, Mich. native has 173 points in her illustrious career.
Lindenwood enters the game having defeated their past five opponent's by a combined score of 88-21. The Lions and Lakers share one common opponent thus far, having both played against Florida Southern. The Lakers fell to the Mocs 18-12 on February 16th, while the Lions defeated Florida Southern 14-11 on February 26th.Â
