ALLENDALE, MICH. – For the second time this season, Grand Valley State senior defender
Karleigh Rothe was selected as the GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Over two Laker victories, Rothe compiled seven groundballs and caused four turnovers. It started on Wednesday in the 11-8 victory over Davenport, where Rothe totaled four groundballs and three caused turnovers. She then had three more groundballs and caused one turnover in the 20-4 win at Saginaw Valley State. Rothe has played a key role in the Lakers' 4-0 start in conference play, totaling 22 groundballs and 15 caused turnovers this season.
