ALLENDALE, MICH. – The Grand Valley State men's golf team is set to get their spring campaign underway this week, playing at the Greenwood Men's Invitational, hosted by Lander University.

In the lineup for GVSU are
Bryce Wheeler,
Charlie Cooley,
Manuel Cue Vargas,
Andrew Gwilliams, and
Maverick Conaway. All five Lakers are individually ranked in the top 40, with Wheeler and Cooley both in the top three.
The field this week will feature 18 teams, with the Lakers being the only team ranked in the top 25, coming in as the number one team in the country. There are a few teams just outside the top 25 in Scoreboards most recent rankings, including Flagler and Lander who are 32
nd and 35
th.
GVSU had a dominant fall season, playing in five tournaments, winning three of them, and placing as the runner-up in another. The lone tournament they did not finish top two was the Folds of Honor Collegiate, where they were the only non-Division I team, and they took ninth.
