FARMINGTON, PENN. – The Grand Valley State men's golf team concluded their fall season by picking up the win at the Nemacolin Intercollegiate. Led by all five golfers in the top 10, GVSU earned their third win of the fall.
Results
Grand Valley finished at -11, 42 strokes in front of the next team. In second was host Findlay at +31, followed by Hillsdale in third at +39. Tiffin was fourth at +45, with Anderson coming in fifth, shooting +47.
Charlie Cooley claimed his first collegiate victory, finishing at eight under par to win the individual title. He shot a final round of 67 (-5), making six birdies to earn the win. One shot back of him was teammate
Manuel Cue Vargas, who finished second at -7. Cue carded a final round of 70 (-2), sinking four birdies.
Maverick Conaway ended in fourth, shooting a 73 (+1) on the final round, making two birdies to end at one over. In a tie for sixth at +4 was
Bryce Wheeler, who made three birdies in his final round of 74 (+2).
Andrew Gwilliams finished ninth at +7, carding a final round of 77 (+5) with two birdies and an eagle.
