EATONTON, GA. – After Monday's opening round go cut short due to weather, the Grand Valley State men's golf team was able to get back on the course Tuesday, completing round one then playing all of round two. After those 36 holes, the Lakers finished in a tie for the runner-up position.
Results
Georgia Southwestern took the team title at +3, followed by the Lakers and USC Aiken tied for second, both shooting nine over. Eckherd was fourth, carding +16, with West Florida taking fifth with a score of +17.
Manuel Cue Vargas carded two rounds of 70 (E), to finish in a tie for sixth. In a tie for eighth was
Andrew Gwilliams, who had rounds of 72(+2) and 70. Finishing at +5 after shooting a 71 (+1) and 74 (+4) was
Bryce Wheeler, who tied for 19
th.
Charlie Cooley was tied for 37
th, with a score of +8, after shooting an 80 (+10) and a 68 (-2).
Maverick Conaway was tied for 52
nd, shooting rounds of 74 (+4) and 77 (+7), ending at eleven over.
