ALLENDALE, MICH. – The Grand Valley State men's and women's track and field team will head to Pueblo, Colorado to compete at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Nationals beginning on May 25^th – 27^th. The 2023 National Championships is set to have a total of 754 athletes, 377 men and 377 women, to compete this year. 
 
The NCAA selection committee announced that 32 athletes from Grand Valley State will be competing, 15 men and 17 women. The women's team will consist of eight field athletes and nine track athletes while the men's squad will consist of nine field athletes and six track athletes. 
 
The Laker women are looking to claim their third National Championship title in Grand Valley State history after finishing as the 2022 and 2022 National Runner Up. While the Laker men are hoping to claim their second National Championship title for Grand Valley State after earning their first National title in program history in 2021.
