Tim Morrison, who completed his 10th year as the offensive line coach at Grand Valley State in 2019, has stepped down to become the head football coach and athletic director at Clarion-Goldfield-Dow High School in Clarion, Iowa he announced Monday (April 27). Morrison solidified himself as one of the top offensive line coaches in the country, evidenced by his tutoring 21 All-GLIAC performers as the offensive line coach.

"I want to thank Tim Morrison for 10 years of commitment to the Grand Valley State football program," said head coach Matt Mitchell. "Our team wishes the Morrison family all the best as they pursue new opportunities in their home state of Iowa. Tim had a major impact on GVSU football, but more importantly he helped develop young men during his tenure."

In addition 21 All-GLIAC performers, Morrison coached the likes of Cameron Bradfield, Tim Lelito, Matt Armstrong and Brandon Revenberg who all went on to play professionally.

"I want to thank Grand Valley State for an incredible 10 years and the opportunity to coach the game I love," said Morrison. "We were able to a lot of great things both on and off the field, but what I will cherish the most are the student-athletes we impacted and the people we built relationships with along the way."

Grand Valley State will begin a search for Morrison's replacement immediately.
