The Grand Valley State men's tennis team split its two matches on Tuesday (March 5) after they fell to Keiser in the first match, 4-3, before they won their second match over Concordia (Minn.), 7-0. GVSU now holds a 6-2 record, while Keiser is 10-3 and Concordia (Minn.) is 2-7.

The Lakers and Seahawks started the match in singles play, as the teams split matches.
Sebastien Lescoulie battled from the No. 1 spot and won 6-1, 6-3, while
Jack Geissler captured a 6-4, 6-3 win from No. 2 singles. Playing from the No 3. Slot was
Jack Dausman, who fell 6-4, 6-4, while
Martin Matov tallied a 6-4, 7-6 (5), win from the No. 4 singles position. Keisler would earn two points from the No. 5 and No. 6 positions as
DJ Colantone fell 6-2, 6-0, from No. 5 singles, as
Eric Zwemer was defeated from the No. 6 slot, 6-1, 6-3.

In doubles, GVSU fought hard but were defeated as Keiser clinched the match after they won from No. 1 and No. 2 parings.

GVSU battled the Cobbers of Concordia (Minn.) for its second match of the night, as the Lakers won 7-0.

In doubles, Grand Valley State captured the first point of the match after they won from No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Lescoulie and Geisller paired up at the No. 1 position and won 6-3, while
Ryan Rhoades and
Marcus Muniz Infante won 6-2 from the No. 3 pairing. Concordia would win from No. 2 singles over Colantone and Zwemer, 6-2.

The Lakers would sweep singles play after Lescoulie won 6-0, 6-4, from No. 1 singles, while
Nicholas Urban won 6-2, 6-3, from the No. 2 slot. Muniz Infante went on to win 6-1, 6-3, from No. 3 singles and
Nicolas Welker also won 6-1, 6-3, from No. 4 singles. The Lakers completed the sweep after
Filipe Castanheira (No. 5 singles) won 6-3, 6-1 and Rhoades (No. 6 singles) won in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.

Grand Valley Stat's next matches will be against Chestnut Hill and St. Francis (Ill.) on Wednesday (March 6) at Fort Gatlin in Orlando, Fla. as both matches will start at 12:30 p.m.
