INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Grand Valley State men's tennis team lost 4-1 to UIndy Tuesday (May 12) morning in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Lakers finish the season with a 12-7 record.
GVSU claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
Stephen Claassen and
Lawrence Ivanov tallied a 6-3 win at the No. 2 doubles position.
Denys Zamaraiev and
Andreu Martin posted a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action,
Bora Bakici dropped a 2-6, 2-6 decision at the top singles position.
Denys Zamaraiev lost a 1-6, 4-6 decision at No. 2 singles.
Axel Le Ho fell 5-7, 4-6 at No. 3 singles, while
Jorge Ruiz dropped a 6-0, 5-7, 5-7 three-set decision at No. 4 singles.
