GVSU falls to Butler, in men's tennis

Results

The Grand Valley State men's tennis team fell to Division I opponent Butler, 7-0, on Friday (March 15) evening at the Butler Bubble in Indianapolis, Ind. The Lakers are now 8-4 on season while the Bulldogs now hold 13-4 record. Grand Valley State's next match will be Saturday (March 16), as they travel to Evansville, Ind. to battle Southern Indiana, with first serve at 12 p.m.
 
In doubles, GVSU was unable to find their groove as Butler captured the first point of match with wins from No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
 
In singles Sebastien Lescoulie fell 6-2, 6-2, from the No. 1 slot, while Jack Geissler was defeated 7-5, 6-4, from No. 2 singles. Jack Dausman fought hard but was defeated in three sets by a score of  3-6, 6-4, 0-6 from the No. 3 position and playing from the No. 4 spot was Martin Matov, who fell in two sets by a score of 6-0, 6-2. The Bulldogs scored two more points from No. 5 and No. 6 singles after DJ Colantone (6-1, 6-2) and Eric Zwemer (6-0, 6-1) were both defeated.
 
Grand Valley State's next match will be Saturday (March 16), as they travel to Evansville, Ind. to battle Southern Indiana, with first serve at 12 noon.
