The Grand Valley State men's tennis teams fell to Florida Southern College in a 7-2 decision on Friday evening. The Lakers are now 7-3 on the season.
The Lakers were able to pick one point in doubles from the No. 3 pairing, as the duo of
Drew Coleman and
Nicholas Urban won 8-2.
DJ Colantone and
Jack Geissler dropped an 8-3 decision from No. 2 doubles, as
Alex van de Steenoven and Sebastian Lescoulie fell 8-5 from the No. 1 pairing.

In singles competition, GVSU's
Sebastien Lescoulie captured a 6-3, 6-0, decision from the No. 1 position, while Geissler fell 6-2, 6-3, from the No. 2 slot. Steenoven, played from the No. 3 spot and won the first set 6-3, but was defeated in the next two sets 6-3, (10-8). Urban (6-2, 6-4), Colantone (6-2, 6-4) and
Alex Lescoulie (5-7, 7-5, 10-6) were unable to pick up points for the Lakers as they fell from the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 position.

The Lakers will be in action on Monday, March 12, 2018 for an 8 a.m. match against Auburn Montgomery.
