Neumen scored the Lakers first goal and gave GVSU an early but they couldn't get much separation in the early goings. The Lakers would twice take a two-goal lead early only to see the Dragons pull back even. Tied at 5-5 with just under nine minutes to go in the first half, Neumen broke the tie and sparked what would be a 10-1 run that gave the Lakers a lead they'd never relinquish. GVSU carried a 10-6 lead into the half and scored two goals within 90 seconds of the second period to put themselves out of reach and coast to victory.
The Lakers look to make it two wins in a row Sunday when they face the Wheeling Jesuit Cardinals in West Virginia. GVSULakers.com and @GVSUWLAX on Twitter will have live updates throughout the match.
