The Grand Valley State men's tennis team defeated Hope College by a score of 9-0 on Saturday (Feb. 17), and is now 2-1 overall on the season. This is the second straight match that the Lakers defeated their opponent by a score of 9-0.

In singles actions,
Sebastien Lescoulie won in dominating fashion with a score of 6-2, 6-2, from the No. 1 position, while
Jack Geissler had a strong performance won from the No. 2 spot, 6-0, 6-3.
Nicholas Urban and
DJ Colantone won their matches from the No 3 and No. 4 slots by scores of 6-0, 6-1, and 6-3, 6-0.
Marcus Muniz Infante and
Alex Lescoulie also tallied victories for the Lakers from No 5. and No. 6 singles, after they won 6-3, 6-0, and 6-1, 6-1.

The Lakers were just as impressive in doubles play on Saturday afternoon. The duo of
Sebastien Lescoulie and
Drew Coleman won 8-4, from the No. 1 doubles pairing, while
DJ Colantone and Geissler had a strong performance from the No. 2 spot and won 8-3. Urban and Muniz Infante would earn the ninth point for the Lakers as they won from No. 3 doubles by a score of 8-2.

Grand Valley State returns tomorrow (Feb. 18) for a home match against Walsh (4-2 overall), at 6:00 p.m. at the Premier Athletic & Tennis Club in Grandville, Michigan.
