103 Lakers Earn ADA Academic Achievement Award

GVSU was one of just five schools to have at least 100 recipients

The 2014-15 recipients of the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) academic achievement awards were recently announced. Grand Valley State was very well-represented on the recipient list, finishing as the top GLIAC school with 103 student-athletes earning the prestigious academic honor.

GVSU was one of just five Division II schools in the country to have over 100 student-athletes named as award recipients. Limestone (161 award winners), Seton Hill (129), Lindenwood (126), and Clarion (100) joined Grand Valley State in the top-five Division II institutions.

Student-athletes nominated for the award must meet three criteria: 1) have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, 2) have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work, and 3) have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
