Lakers Look to Clinch Share of GLIAC Title on Senior Night

With a win over Urbana tonight (Apr. 25), GVSU would guarantee itself at least a share of the GLIAC title

Allendale, Mich. - The Grand Valley State women's lacrosse team will honor four seniors prior to Friday (Apr. 25) night's game against Urbana. Midfielders Ali Dixon and Meagan Emery along with defenders Ashley Stoltenberg and Brianna Shefferly will be playing at the Laker Lacrosse Stadium for the final time at 5:00 p.m. ET.

The departing class has compiled a 32-17 overall record in the program's three seasons as a varsity sport, a 14-0 mark in conference play and captured the inaugural GLIAC regular season and tournament titles last year.

With a win tonight, the Lakers, who are 6-0 in GLIAC play and hold a one-game lead over Lake Erie and Wheeling Jesuit in the league standings, would guarantee themselves at least a share of a second straight conference title. GVSU is also in line to host the GLIAC Tournament once again, but this will not be known until Sunday's (Apr. 27) game against Wheeling Jesuit concludes.
