High School: Richard was a four-year letter winner in both track and football at Harvest Prep HS … He was a two-time Columbus Dispatch Athlete of the Year in 2013 and 2014 … He was the OATCC 2013 Indoor State Champion in the 200m dash, a 2014 New Balance Indoor Nationals qualifier, a two-time OHSAA Track & Field State qualifier in the 100m, 200m, and 400m in 2013-2014 … he was a two-time MSL champion in the 100m, 200m, and 400m in 2013-2014 … He was a two-time OHSAA District and Regional champion in the 100m, 200m, and 400m.
