2013: Appeared in 13 games on the mound...Went 3-1 with a 3.55 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 12.2 innings of work...Held opponents to a .256 batting average...Had 10 outings without an earned run...Threw two innings of hitless relief at Northwood (5/1) with two strikeouts...Threw 2.1 innings in relief against Tiffin (4/4), allowing only one hit with three strikeouts.

Prior to GVSU: Attended Macomb Community College for two seasons under head coach Joe Santilli...In 2012, Saier struck out 21 batters in 24 innings of work with a 3.38 ERA and seven saves...In 2011, Saier earned All-MCCAA Second Team honors and was named the Macomb "Cy Young" award winner...He appeared in 19 games, pitching 26 innings and recording 21 strikeouts to go with a 1.35 ERA and 11 saves.

High School: Prepped at Warren Woods Tower High School under head coach Leo Kondziolka...Earned all-county, all-district and all-conference honors.

Personal: Son of Daniel and Lillian Saier...Exercise Science major.
