Three Lakers Earn WGCA Postseason Honors

ALLENDALE, MICH. – Three Grand Valley State women's golfers earned postseason honors from the Women's Golf Coaches Association, as announced by the organization earlier today. Lea Stotz, Charlotte Goersch, and Rachael Krieger all earned All-Region accolades, with Stotz adding Honorable Mention All-American status as well.
 
In her sophomore campaign, Lea Stotz was the top golfer for the Lakers, carding an average score of 75.1, shooting eight rounds of par or lower. She claimed nine top 10 tournament finishes this season, including her first collegiate win at the Bulldog Fall Invitational. Stotz sank 80 birdies across 37 rounds this season and earned First-Team All-GLIAC honors this spring. This is the first All-Region and All-American selections in Stotz's collegiate career.
 
For the second straight season, Charlotte Goersch earned East All-Region honors. The sophomore shot five rounds under par, making a team-high 81 birdies and two eagles. Her average round score of 75.4 was second-best on the team. A three-time runner-up finisher this season, Goersch tallied six top 10 tournament placements throughout the season.

Senior Rachael Krieger ends her time with the Lakers by garnering the first All-Region selection of her career. Across 36 rounds of action, Krieger sank 78 birdies and led the team with three eagles. Krieger accumulated six top 10 finishes, with five of those being top five endings. She has an average score of 76.5, carding two rounds of par or below.
