PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLA. – The Grand Valley State women's golf team concluded their season with a ninth-place finish at the National Championships.
Results
GVSU finished two shots off the cut line to advance to Friday's match play quarterfinals. They climbed four spots in the final 18 holes to take their 16
th top 10 finish at the National Championships.
Lea Stotz was the top golfer for GVSU, tying for 26
th. She shot a final round of 76 (+4) with two birdies to end at +12. In a tie for 34
th was
Charlotte Goersch, who shot a 77 (+5) to score +15. Behind her was
Rachael Krieger, who made four birdies and an eagle, carding a 73 (+1) to end in a tie for 48
th at +18. One shot back of her was
Evelyn Park in a tie for 53
rd, following her two birdies in the round of 77.
Heida Rafnsdottir made two birdies and finished tied for 84
th.
